Show Notes

How do we really define self-care? Is it by simply having a bubble bath surrounded by your sweet-smelling scented candles while sipping your fave cosmopolitan? Sorry to burst your bubble my friend but it’s way more than that. Self-care is intentionally doing things that maintain or improve your mental or physical health. It is tending to the needs that require your attention in your life and implementing these things every day. That’s why episode 53 of the VIP Access Podcast is about the 360° Approach To Self-Care.

In this episode of VIP Access Podcast, Barbie Haven, an Author, Certified Life Coach, and CEO of Desired Lives, is sharing how to achieve a more balanced way of living through knowing the benefits of self-care. Some of the talking points Barbie and I go over in this episode include:

  • Defining what self-care is and its importance
  • Making a list of things that you are responsible for
  • Values: Who you are vs. the stereotype
  • Understanding “belief change works”

Self-care isn't a one-size-fits-all plan. It is a customized list according to your needs and the present situation. What works for other people might not work for you, and vice versa. That is why it is very important to take note of the negotiable and non-negotiable things in your life that has a huge impact on your well-being both mentally and physically. Be sure to tune in to all the episodes to receive tons of practical marketing tips and to hear even more about the points outlined above.
